Calder Valley Youth Theatre was established in 1982 and known then as Calder Valley Juniors.  Shows were presented in St Michael’s Church Hall, Mytholmroyd, until 1996 when a decision was made to change our name and venue.  Since then we have presented our main production at the Hebden Bridge Picture House and, more recently, at the Halifax Palyhouse.  In addition, we present what has become a popular event ‘Calder Kidz in Concert’ at the Little Theatre, Hebden Bridge.

 Our members range in age from 8 – 18 years. Everyone must pass an audition in order to appear in our annual production which is presented in October or November, and once the show has been cast, rehearsals are held on Tuesday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
