CVYT 2007 Summer Production of
Delahaye The Dog

There is a cast of nine kids in 'Delahaye the Dog' and their ages range from 8 - 11. For some of the cast this is their first performance with Calder Youth Valley Theatre and it will in fact be their first time on stage!!!
The play is
lively and has been fun to do and everyone
involved has gone away from rehearsals humming
the catchy songs. There is a wide range of
characters from King Adda - Adda to Delahaye the
Dog and as the cast is so small it has meant
that everyone involved has a speaking part which
has been a great opportunity for the kids to
show their talent.
The Characters
Nina Horsfall plays King Adda - Adda -
the impoverished king of Rottingdean. He may not
have a palace or a crown, but he does have very
loyal friends. His motto is “Don’t get mad-get
even”!
Eden James plays Pib - the a fearless
daredevil. He wants to know what they’re gonna
do about that big, bad bully Delahaye.
Harriet Thorpe plays Laddie - who is
loyal, but a little timid. When Delahaye bites
him on the bbb..biggest part of his body, he’s
upset and afraid to go home.
Martha Osbourne plays the Narrator
and the Royal Cook.
Delahaye's Gang
Bertie Yates plays Delahaye - who is
a ruffian, with a sweet tooth and anyone who
crosses his path had better watch out! His motto
is ‘Don’t get caught
Lizzie Olley plays the Professor - "
They call me 'The Brains" and the Royal Baker
Phoebe Wilson plays Mr Speedy - "'I'm
an ace at the wheel"
